Applied psychological wisdom for people navigating complexity.
JustForward brings together applied psychological wisdom, consultancy and training to help people, teams and organisations respond thoughtfully in complex situations.
Why People Come to Us
We are often invited in when....
- relationships become strained
- leadership is complex
- teams are under pressure
- communication has broken down
- conflict needs external support
- change needs to be navigated thoughtfully
- performance matters
- specialist psychological knowledge is needed for guidance assessment or training
Every situation is different. We provide psychological solutions tailored to your context.
What Guides Our Work
Whatever the setting, whether a boardroom, hospital, prison, charity or family home, the same human needs remain.
We help people think more clearly, strengthen relationships and move forward using evidence-based psychological knowledge and compassionate expertise.
Social Justice
We believe psychological practice should contribute to fairer, healthier communities.
We set aside free training days as a way of giving something back.
Philosophy
Good psychology begins with thoughtful questions.
As an antidote to pop psychology, we draw on the deep philosophical roots of psychology.
Context
People are always shaped by the systems around them.
Understanding context is central to everything we do.
Our Sectors
JustForward was founded by Laura Bowden and Joel Harvey, Consultant Psychologists with over twenty years' experience working alongside people, teams and organisations navigating complexity.
For over twenty years we have worked across healthcare, criminal justice, local government, charities, the creative industries and the corporate sector, supporting people where relationships, leadership and decision-making matter most.
Alongside our work at JustForward, we hold academic appointments within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King's College London, where we continue to teach and contribute to applied psychological research.
